Maintaining oral hygiene

Anti-bacterial mouthwash can further reduce the chances of dental infection.

Healthy diet

Maintaining a healthy diet is as important as maintenance of oral hygiene. A diet comprising of less sugary food is recommended. Fruits and vegetables which increase the flow of saliva can benefit oral health. Consumption of water can decrease bacterial activity in the oral cavity.

Things to avoid

Smoking and tobacco chewing can have adverse effects on oral health. The practices can give rise to gum diseases and increases the chances of oral cancer. A dentist can clearly guide patients on how to protect the teeth from such serious problems.
